Hey, Data Science enthusiasts!! Recently I attended a Roadmap To Data Science Workshop of CloudyML By Akash Raj. Being a data science geek myself I was very excited to attend the workshop.
I wanted to present an honest review of the workshop, in order to help other geeks help them decide whether this workshop is worth their time or money. My excitement wasn’t long lasting and you all will know why by the end of the blog.

Introduction to Data Science
The session was taken by the founder himself, so I thought things would be professional and I would gain a lot from it. The session started with a brief introduction of the mentor Akash Raj, who shared his journey from his graduation to founding CloudyML.
He started with the basics of what Data Science is. He also discussed the requirements of data science based on different company’s data. The start wasn’t too energetic but I thought the session would be good, but it was quite opposite to my expectations.
It was like he was getting confused at the start itself. I thought maybe it was nervousness but it was carried throughout the session.
Content Delivery
I feel the content structure was quite good, but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to deliver it. The content structure included a lot of things like comparison between different roles related to data, tools required by each domain and many more.
Most of the time it felt like the mentor himself was getting confused about what to do and what not. It was the same for the whole session and made us too.
Sales Pitch
In the middle of the session, He started talking about how his company can help us in our careers. We understand that promotion is important, but if we attended the session for data science, he could have shared the details at the end instead of breaking our flow.
Interactions
One thing I liked the most about the session was its engagement. He made sure to be interactive throughout the session and kept asking questions to keep us engaged.
Although the content delivery was disappointing, his attempt to make the workshop interactive was quite good and appreciable. He tried to answer our queries effectively, I guess the best that was possible from his side.
Conclusion
My overall experience of the workshop was kind of mixed and full of ups and downs. The duration of the session was around 2 hours, but many things were missing in the session.
It’s up to you to decide whether to attend this workshop or not. For some it could be useful, it wasn’t for me. I would rate my experience a solid 3/5.
