Hey guys!! Hope you all are doing well. I have recently attended a Micro Workshop by Growth School focused on User onboarding, conversion analysis and growth loops. In my opinion, understanding how to increase conversion rate is one of the key skills of running a business.
Learning through material is different from learning via a live session. This was the reason I attended this workshop and had a mixed experience and wanted to share everything that happened with you guys.
Let’s start with the details.

All About Introduction Growth School
Just like other sessions it was initiated with an introduction of the mentor Amiya Kumar Sahoo, Growth School Marketer at Razorpay X Payroll. He shared a lot about himself and his experience in this industry.
Following this he explained what we were going to learn during the whole session. I found that the topics that were included were quite interesting along with being important. We can’t expect much high-level stuff from this Growth School workshop but it was good.
Flow of Session
After an impressive intro, he started the session with the first topic of the day which was User Funnel. In this, he explained what basically the user funnel is, what are its phases and how it is important. He was explaining everything very calmly and nicely.
He then explained user onboarding with the help of various examples. I must say this thing could have been made complicated if not explained correctly but, he made it easy to understand.
He wasn’t just explaining things from the surface but explained everything inside with so much patience.
Analyze and tracking
He explained why analysis is the key step for conversions. Also, how can we track user funnels and analyze them using different steps? This part was one of my favourites as it explained it effortlessly and was easy to understand.
Learning how to convert a lead can be a turning point for any marketer. Right? He explained this segment for about 15-20 minutes until it was all clear to us.
Use of Examples
As we progressed towards the end of the session he explained the funnels of different big platforms like Quora and TikTok. About their work and what we can take from it for our advantage.
Although he explained this part a little fast and to be honest I didn’t find it too useful but obviously, it may vary from person to person.
Key Takeaways
The session was almost 1 hour long. As per key highlights as I have mentioned above certain segments held my interest more than others and why. His interaction with us was good too for example when someone asked a certain doubt he tried to clear it then and there.
Although the topics were not that advanced or something, it was good for the basic level. The Growth School session was short or to be precise micro so things were explained quickly and still he explained a lot of things.
Conclusion
Summing up my experience of this Growth School micro workshop can’t be put on either side nor too good nor too bad It lies somewhere in the middle. As to why I am saying this, the reason behind this can be clearly seen in the above review.
You can surely attend this workshop if you’re looking for something basic or you are a beginner yourself. Things can get complicated at times but you will be able to understand a lot of other things.
The mentor was really humble and attentive. I would rate my overall experience to be 3/5.
