This one is for all the data science enthusiasts. I recently attended a workshop by Scaler which was focused on ChatGPT and the future of Data Science jobs.
Being a Data science geek myself I was so excited to explore and learn something new. Although the 60-minute session was completely free but still being honest I didn’t find it so engaging or captivating.
I know you all might be wondering why I am saying all this but trust me by the end of this you all will agree with me too I am sure of it. So, let’s understand everything about the workshop.

Introduction
The session started with a brief introduction of the mentor Srikanth Varma Sir which was followed by his answering all the queries asked by other fellow attendees. I noticed that every answer revolved around the fact that we should join Scaler if we wanted to know more or learn something by joining their different courses.
The introduction felt more like a “Scaler Advertisement” which was followed by an overview of the agendas to be covered during the session.
about which we were informed that we would not be getting any recordings of the session as that was Exclusively available for “Scaler members”, another marketing trick it was.
All About ChatGPT
The mentor started his discussion by stating how and why ChatGPT is getting over jobs followed by how it is used in different fields be it legal or any other.
He then opened ChatGPT and showed how some basic prompts about ChatGPT help in easing our tasks. To be honest I found all of this too basic today. I don’t think there’s anyone who’s not using ChatGPT so attending a workshop for it is a waste, isn’t it?
As the session progressed it became more and more boring and I could see how the mentor wasn’t able to hold his audience.
Data Jobs And GPT Prompts
It felt like the whole session was about the “So-Called Basic GPT Prompts” he talked about how jobs in Data Science will increase as the increase for language-based models will increase and again went to showing us some basic data science interview prompts
the prompts which even a newbie can write without any knowledge were taught like why?? it felt like he thought of the audience as “People from the ancient world” who are new to this technology, I guess.
Conclusion Rated- 2.5/5
Considering it was a free session, but still spending an hour over it wasn’t worth it as it was a basic workshop and things taught in this were not something out of this industry or anything new which literally disappointed me as I hoped was something good not exactly too awesome but something worth spending my time.
According to my perspective, this workshop was up to mark and was more of a “Scaler Promotion Event” because of which I rated it a solid 2.5/5.
