I recently attended Skill Nation’s MS PowerPoint Workshop with high expectations. However, my experience was less than satisfactory.
When I signed up for Skill Nation‘s MS PowerPoint Workshop, I was excited to learn much about using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t as good as I hoped. I want to share my story to help others understand what I found disappointing about the workshop. This narrative encapsulates the essence of the shortcomings observed during the sessions, where my aspirations for an in-depth, practical learning encounter met various disappointments.
This review will talk about what I didn’t like in the workshop. I’ll discuss the things that didn’t work well, like what they taught, how the teachers were, and how we learned. My hope is that by sharing my experience, others can make a better choice about joining this workshop.

Who is the Instructor in the Power BI Workshop by Skill Nation?
The workshop is led by Jatan Shah, a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) with extensive experience in Power BI. In the workshop he started with some teaching stuff but once it was all over he started his marketing part around 2hrs where he said he could make us better with his master’s program, which was not at all promising for me.
Drawbacks from the Workshop
During the Workshop I found lots of stuff that created a lot of questions in my mind whether i waste my money on this workshop or not they are :
1. Lackluster Curriculum:
The workshop’s curriculum appeared promising, but it failed to delve into the advanced features of Microsoft PowerPoint. The content seemed outdated, covering only basic functionalities and neglecting to address the latest updates or innovative tools that could enhance productivity.
2. Inadequate Instructor Expertise:
The instructors seemed ill-prepared and lacking in-depth knowledge about the subject matter. Evidently, they struggled to answer specific technical questions or provide comprehensive explanations, leaving participants feeling uninformed and dissatisfied.
3. Limited Interactivity and Engagement:
The workshop lacked interactive elements, making the sessions dull and unengaging. There were minimal opportunities for participants to practice newly acquired skills or engage in group discussions, hindering the learning experience.
4. Poor Resource Materials:
The provided materials, including handouts and online resources, were insufficient and poorly organized. The lack of supplemental materials made it challenging to review the content outside of the workshop, leaving participants feeling unequipped to apply the learnings independently.
5. Overcrowded Sessions:
The workshop was overcrowded, resulting in less individual attention from the instructors. This led to a rushed pace, hindering the opportunity for a deeper understanding of the concepts and techniques.
6. Lack of Practical Application:
The workshop primarily focused on theory, neglecting practical application. Participants had minimal opportunities to work on real-life projects or scenarios, which are crucial for effectively utilizing PowerPoint in professional settings.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my experience at Skill Nation‘s MS PowerPoint Workshop was disappointing. The workshop failed to meet the expectations one would have for a comprehensive and impactful learning experience. The lack of depth in content, instructor expertise, engagement, and practical application made it fall short of being a valuable educational program.
