Hey tech geeks. The effect of ChatGPT and AI being the most talked about topic of recent times is something we can not deny. Learning how to use these two can turn our lives 360 degrees. With this in mind and a lot of research, I attended a Masterclass on AI and ChatGPT by upEducators.
Ankush Bhandari, Google Certified Trainer was the mentor of the masterclass. The workshop was worth Rs 800, before investing my money or time. I decided to read some reviews about the company and to be honest I found them kind of mixed and I was a little doubtful about the masterclass.
Let’s unwind all about my experience.
Table of Contents
Basic Introduction: ChatGPT And AI
Just like any other session, this too started with a basic introduction about the firm followed by the introduction of the mentor. When I heard that the mentor was a Google-certified trainer I got my hopes too high but as time passed by my expectations started hitting rock bottom. After investing my money I decided to stay and see if it turned out any good.
He then started with a basic level introduction of ChatGPT and AI like what it is, how we can use it and the most asked question will AI replace us? The intro was not something out of this world or things we didn’t know, it was all about how to use prompts and things.

Lot of Interruptions
While he was explaining everything everyone had access to their mic and the people kept on asking things in between the explanations. I understand asking doubts was important but at times it was difficult to differentiate between when he was answering queries and when he was teaching.
This created a lot of chaos in between the sessions and interrupted our learning process. He could have attended to queries at the end or could have just chosen the ones relevant to the current topic for better understanding I guess that would have been better in my opinion.
Unclear Explanations
The whole session was filled with segments of unclear explanations. For example, when he was trying to explain the uses of ChatGPT and AI using some prompts I was unable to grasp certain concepts because he kept on jumping from one topic to another while the previous one was incomplete.
Another example of the same was while explaining some topic he suddenly shifted to another tool and then again back to it. A similar thing happened when he was trying to take up the doubts. Somehow this was making me more confused, although there were no new concepts still he was still making the simplest topic feel complicated.

Effective Interaction
As I mentioned in above he was attending N number of queries in between the session itself. Although it was disturbing, I must say he handled every query with utmost patience and attention.
I have not seen many mentors to date who attend queries like this. It did negatively affect our learning process but, I found it to be a good quality of the mentor that while progressing he made sure no one had any doubts. I must appreciate his nature but not the way he handled it.
Conclusion
The session was around 2 hours long and full of mixed experiences. I would say my money and time were both wasted on such a workshop on ChatGPT and AI. Nothing special was covered in the masterclass on the contrast even the simplest topics were complicated.
The session was full of interruptions and chaos. I didn’t find the workshop worthy enough and prefer not to attend it again nor recommend it to anyone.
