This review is the continuation of Skill Nation’s 2-day power BI workshop. If you haven’t checked out the first part please visit Jatan Shah Power BI Day 1 Workshop Review for a brief understanding of the whole workshop.
As I have mentioned before, Day 1 itself was very disappointing so, for obvious reasons I had zero hopes from Day 2 they didn’t disappoint me in this thing and showed me again how I have wasted my 2 days on a useless session, I know all of you might not relate to me but this is how my experience was.
Let’s understand what happened on Day 2 of the Power BI workshop.

Dashboard Completion
The 4-hour session started with the dashboard completion which was initiated on Day 1. It was a basic level dashboard in my opinion and can be created even by seeing a YouTube video.
The mentor Jatan Shah then taught some simple formatting like filters, nothing special or new of course. Some people can find it useful but it depends on their level of experience with Power BI.
It was followed by making a dashboard online on the Power BI service platform and to my surprise, this part was comparatively better than others, but again my happiness was short-lived as the session progressed further it again made me regret my choice.
Slogan Similarity
I was shocked at this moment when he showed a slide where he asked us whether we got 10x value for the money we spent and that’s when I realized that I had heard this 10x slogan somewhere, I won’t take the company’s name but I am pretty sure people from Tech background will surely understand where am I pointing.
This again made me regret thinking about what I was expecting from a company to conduct a good workshop when they could not even create a slogan of their own.
Here Comes The Marketing Trick
After completion of the power service task, he started selling courses for his company on whether we needed to land a job or upskill ourselves. We should join their various courses, not just advanced Power BI but he explained a very long list of courses, and workshops and expected us to join this long series of workshops.
Join these for what? again getting disappointed or sitting and regretting the choice, I will never spend even a penny on such workshops that turned out to be a total failure in my case.
Conclusion
Out of an almost 4-hour long session, all He explained was their workshops which were worth around RS 12,000, and expected us to join them. I surely won’t recommend anyone to join this workshop, it may vary from person to person, but my experience with this workshop was not good and it felt like I wasted my money and time when there were much better options out there because of this I will rate it 2/5
