Hey folks, Hope you all are doing good. Recently I attended a 5-day SQL Workshop along with some of my other mates which was conducted by Skill-Nation and wanted to share my worst possible experience with all of you.
The workshop was worth Rs 9,000 which was wasted. Just like others we read about Skill Nation on Google about how they conduct some good workshops. We all were hesitant before spending such a large amount and were scared of it going in vain, our fears turned right and we all regretted spending such a big amount for this useless “Recorded” Workshop.
We were convinced by their bold claim of “100% money back if not satisfied” because of which we all decided to give it a try and test our luck but it turned out to be fake and nothing more than a marketing trick.

Disappointing Introduction
The session started with a brief introduction of how these days proceed and to be honest with each minute passing I felt my money and time getting wasted. The instructor explained various things including what will be taught under this workshop claiming a newbie can learn SQL through it but I don’t think so.
It felt like the instructor was in such a hurry that she was explaining too many things altogether and too fast which wasn’t suitable for a newbie in my opinion.
Recorded Modules were all We got
When we hear the word workshop we all have an image of someone teaching us new skills and things through live lectures but here, the second they explained how we will only be getting “recorded modules” to learn from for these 5 days. That was the moment I realized what a big mistake I made by investing my money to get these recordings when I could have gotten better ones on YouTube for free.
They explained how we will be having live sessions on alternate days that too only for doubt clearing which we need to submit beforehand. At first, I wasn’t able to process what was happening and how they fooled us into paying for these useless recordings when we had many other better options in the market.
Zero Interactions and Certification
Getting recordings in the name of the workshop was not enough disappointing, when we learned we couldn’t ask doubts freely we needed to submit them beforehand all I was thinking was what if I had a doubt later on and then I had to wait for another session for it to be cleared or maybe those will never be cleared I felt what being scammed feels like and wished if I could reverse the time and stopped myself from buying such a useless workshop.
The instructors explained how we needed to clear the test by scoring 80% plus for generating our certificates and had only 3 attempts for it and if we failed we would not be able to get any certificate. What if someone was not able to clear, they will lose their certificate right?? All the hard work will go into vain.
Conclusion: SQL Workshop by Skill Nation
I am disappointed and didn’t expect this from a big brand like Skill Nation. The phrase “Great Cry Little Wool” fits them well because of how big claims they made and gave nothing in return. I would never suggest such a workshop to anyone, not even to my enemies. I feel like I don’t have enough words to express my anger and disappointment which I felt during this workshop. I would say my overall Experience was very disappointing and I would rate it a solid 2/5.
