Hey tech geeks!!! When the world is becoming a place that requires more smart work than hard work, that’s when AI jumps into the picture. When everyone around us is learning to use AI and ChatGPT to become the best. This was what I was thinking when I decided to attend a ChatGPT and AI workshop By Growth School.
The mentor of the workshop was Vaibhav Sisinty, founder of Growth School. The 3-hour long session cost me Rs 299 with an actual price of Rs 999. Being from a technical background I had high hopes for this workshop. I expected to learn something new and innovative but this workshop was not even near to something innovative.
Let’s understand my experience briefly.

Introduction
The workshop started with full enthusiasm and with a mass flow of energy made our expectations much higher. He started by explaining how AI can take up jobs that are not skilled enough. showing how we can talk to AI using A virtual assistant.
Next thing he showed us how we can talk to AI using A virtual assistant. In my opinion, nothing was new or out of the box that could fascinate me about this workshop.
I thought we would be exploring new things when I heard the Title ChatGPT and AI. At first, he was facing some technical glitch I guess so nor did the virtual assistant or ChatGPT work properly.
ChatGPT: Taught Different Prompts
As the session progressed, He explained different types of prompts that can be used. Followed by the difference between good and bad prompts and how that can influence the answer that AI provides us.
He explained the concept using some examples of different prompts like how to write an email and use ChatGPT to apply for jobs. While he was explaining all this I was thinking that I could have learned all this stuff from YouTube and that too for free. This thought made me regret investing my money and time in this workshop.
Asking For Reviews
In the middle of the session, he asked us to post a LinkedIn post about how our experience was and tag them if we wanted 50+ prompts. Although he asked us to post an honest review, when we want something from someone will we ever post something bad about them?? No right.
It felt like a desperate try to get free good reviews irrespective of how the workshop was really. This felt disappointing and I didn’t expect such tricks from a big platform like this.
Marketing Tactics
Asking for reviews was not enough I guess. By the end of the session, he introduced a 4-week Generative AI Program with an actual cost of Rs 24,999. But for all the attendees of the workshop, it will cost Rs 9,999 if we purchase it within 30 minutes. I don’t how he expected us to decide to invest such a big amount within 30 minutes.
Especially when Their workshop itself was not that effective or productive. We can get much better options in the industry and at very affordable rates. It felt like all he wanted was for us to purchase this program without even thinking about it once.
Conclusion
My overall experience of Growth School’s Workshop was very bad and disappointing. I expected to learn new things but they couldn’t live up to the hype that was created about this workshop. So, I would not suggest this workshop as for me it wasted my money and time. This was the reason my rating was 2/5 for the workshop.
